Payments

EvieBooking uses Stripe to take payments. You connect your own Stripe account, so the money goes to you — we never hold your funds, and no card details ever touch our servers.

#Connecting Stripe

In Settings → Payments, click Connect Stripe and follow the wizard. If you don't have a Stripe account yet, you can create one during the flow. Once connected you can take:

• Card payments
• Apple Pay and Google Pay at checkout

#The platform fee

We charge a small platform fee per transaction, deducted automatically at checkout. The fee is lower on higher plans (see Plan & billing). It is charged per processing transaction and is non-refundable — if you refund a customer, our fee on that transaction isn't returned. Make sure your own terms tell customers this.

#Deposits (part-payment)

On a ticket type you can ask for a deposit instead of the full price — a fixed amount or a percentage:

• Events & classes — the customer pays the deposit to book, and the balance is charged automatically to their card a set time before the session. They see exactly what will be charged and when, and agree before the deposit is taken.
• Appointments — the customer pays the deposit online and the balance is paid in person at the appointment (set this per service).

Deposits are non-refundable. If an event balance can't be collected, we retry and then cancel the booking and keep the deposit — you never chase debt.

#Refunds

From a booking you can issue a full or partial refund. The refund goes back through Stripe to the customer's original payment method, the booking's tickets are voided, and any freed spaces are offered to your waitlist. (Our platform fee isn't returned — see above.)

#Refund to account credit

Instead of refunding the card, you can choose Refund to credit. This gives the customer store credit they can spend on a future booking — it's instant, has no card-processing fee, and keeps the customer with you. Deposit bookings are refunded this way.

#Payouts

Payouts land in your bank account on your Stripe payout schedule — you control the timing in your Stripe dashboard.

#Free events

Free events need no Stripe connection — customers book without paying and still get their tickets and QR codes.
